Can I bake my cakes in advance and freeze them? Should I crumb coat them first?????? I have to do something just this time....won't have time to do it all in one day.any ideas????
You can certainly bake ahead of time and freeze the cakes. You could also freeze after crumbcoating.
I freeze each layer separately without icing. Wrap them in foil or airtight freezer bag. They hold up nicely. I love to crumb coat while they are still frozen, SO much easier!
