What do you cover the board with? Any color?

My husband cuts wooden boards for large cakes, I either cover it with Fanci foil, usually silver or wrapping paper with contact paper on top.

I buy a big sheet of wood from lowes or home depot and keep it around. I have my husband cut it to the size I need it according to what I am going to be doing. I do alot of wedding cakes and scupltured cakes. I love the wood boards. Alot of support and no give. That way that cake is going to do nothing but sit there and look pretty. I cover mine also in contact paper or foils, sometimes you do a double wrap in the foil papers, (thats up to you) I really like the wood boards and very rarely use anything else except on small tiers or stacking of cakes. Hope this helps. thumbs_up.gif
