Hi

I am making this christening cake for my friend

http://www.sugarpusscakes.co.uk/isabella%27s%20cake-c.htm

Can anyone tell me what size wires i need for the decoration on the small cake?

Also how would i secure this cake onto the large cake?

Thanks, Sarah

It's just a simple stacked cake, but stacked offcenter. You do it like any other stacked cake - with SPS or dowels.

I'd say probably a 20 gauge covered wire alot depends on the size and weight of the stars, be sure to put dowel rods under shat smaller cake and a dowel rod thru both layers. You can insert the wire into drinking straws cut to fit.
