Wow, that's pretty serious! LOL..... Have you tried putting it on a stand where you can drape the fondant over the edge? It makes it easier, but it's still not very easy for me..lol

Add a teaspoon or more of glycerine to your fondant when you knead it. it makes the fondant more pliable.. Then when you're covering a sphere if your fondant overlaps each other... or you get creases at the base.. a bit of rubbing and they disappear. Try it!
