How do I make my fondant sparkle without it being sticky. I live in a very humid area...so, when I brush luster dust with extract mixed...it stays sticky. I just did it and all of my pieces are sticky...Help!

You can use everclear instead of extract, or use vodka. Some extracts don't have alcohol and take longer to dry. You can also brush the dusts on dry but it usually gives a different effect.

It's pretty humid where I live but luster dust and extract or luster dust and vodka will dry in a couple minutes here.

Is there a way to get the stickiness "off" so that I can try the vodka?

I just dry dust most of my stuff- works beautifully and even more sparkly IMO. Try it.

You can dry-brush the cake with the luster dust, instead of painting it on with extract.
