To make fondant buttons,cameos,gems,beads etc..I don't have time to buy molds and I want to make some embellishments to put on a 3D Crown.I have the pearl bead mold but wanted more...


Any tips??

I have silicone ice cube trays that work great as sugar molds.

You can make quick sugar molds with foil by smoothing it around the shape you want, make sure the foil is pressed tightly against the object and is smooth (should be a simple design for best results), remove the object, reshape if necessary, and then pour in heated sugar. I'd heat the sugar after the mold is ready, and get it to hard crack stage. Once cool, pull the foil apart from opposite directions slowly and your edible item will pop out. You can then paint with luster dust ect. I hope I explained that well enough...
