So I've been saving my scraps when I level the cake in zip bags and freezing them... and I have enough to make cake balls... I'm thinking its okay to mix flavors, right? (yellow/choc)

And since its frozen, when thawed, how long is the shelf life of the cake? shorter than fresh baked ones? I was thinking of thawing tonight (Wed) and shaping cake balls, then leaving it in the fridge, then coating tomorrow (Thurs), refrigerate again for a Sunday football party? Too soon?

And how long are the frozen cakes good for? I've got scraps from December...

TIA!

And for how long they can be frozen for, if they were wrapped right... then a few months I think HTH!
