Sometimes in the past when I've iced and decorated cut-out sugar cookies with RI, the butter/fat seems to kind of seep up through the icing a day or two later. Does that happen to anyone else?

I want to decorate/pipe icing on sugar cookies, but don't want that to happen. Any suggestions?

no, I'm sorry that's never happened to me. What recipe do you use? If you haven't tried it, I know a lot of people here use Antonia74's RI (including myself) and have never had a problem with it. HTH!

Hi, that's never happened to me either. Lets evaluate your RI recipe. What is it. Also, it sounds like it might be too thin?? or maybe your cookies are a little underdone. Whats your cookie recipe and how long do you bake them?

I haven't had that happen either, but...

it sounds like your cookies might be a little underdone or for some other reason are "seeping" fat (too much butter, maybe?) and that's affecting the RI.
