Does anyone have tips on what filling is best for a devils food cake? I was just going to use plain buttercream. But I am rethinking...I need some pizazz!

Thank you! icon_smile.gif

I love milk chocolate ganache! I get lots of compliments when I fill with this in my Devil's Food.

I always use white buttercream flavored with peppermint extract to fill my devils food cakes. Everybody loves the "peppermint pattie" flavor.

For those who love chocolate, I fill my Devil's Food cake with a chocolate buttercream. But I crumble up a spicy chocolate in it. I buy it at a little corner store that carries weird stuff. It comes in a variety of flavours, but the one I like the most is a spicy chili chocolate. Yummy!

Peanut butter buttercream, marshmallow filling, whipped ganache, cookis n cream, s'mores (whipped ganache with mini marshmallows and graham cracker pieces mixed in), raspberry bc or mousse, nutella buttercream or nutella imbc. Okay, now I want chocolate cake - a piece of each kind.
