Baking By motherofgrace Updated 25 Jan 2010 , 6:23pm by pattycakesnj
I searched and I couldnt find the answer
I haev frozen my cookies in the past. But I have a sample meeting for the farmers market on tuesday, and I was wondering how long the cookies will be good for, if I baked them today, and decorated them tomorrow?
Thanks !
if they are loose and unpackaged, I give them 4-7 days
if they are individually packaged in cello or something pretty air-tight, i give them up to 10 or so
it's the butter that goes rancid and smelly in them first
you'll know if they smell "off" and old
i used margerine lol (i know im horrible!)
thanks!!!
(I wish I knew you when i lived in toronto and kingston!)
The sugar cookies I baked at Christmas stayed yummy stored in airtight containers for about 2 weeks. After that, they were still technically edible, but not as good. After 3 weeks I threw them out.

Pretty much the same for me with my Christmas cookies using the NFSC recipe.
