I want to do a guitar cake for my sisters 16th birthday. Does anyone know a way to have the cake either sit upright or tilted on an angle to make it seem "more real"?? other than laying the cake down.

If your wood working skills are up to par, make a thin wood guitar shape for the cake to rest on and make a piece on the very bottom edge to hold the cakes. If you keep it about 70° it should help keep most of the cake's weight on the board and not straight down on the cake below itself.

On the bottom piece, you should shape it too the curve of the guitar... remember, the more surface area the brace touches of the cake, the less chance you have of it sliding and ripping.
