Hi! I am going to be making my grandfathers birthday cake and they said they would like chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream but whatever filling I want to use I can. I don't eat cake so I'm looking for suggestions of what would taste the best. I have white chocolate, vanilla or banana pudding, or rasberry or strawberry perserves.
Thanks
How funny-you make cakes but you don't eat them!
Personally, I'd go for the white chocolate, but then I love chocolate.
What do you think your grandfather would like?????
He likes anything - I think I will try the white chocolate pudding then.
Thank you both for your help
I do the raspberry buttercream with chocolate cake all the time... it's one of my most popular. Goes over very well!!
The pudding sounds very intereating.. I've never tried that.
I'm still undecided. I usually use raspberry or strawberry preserves but wanted to try something different. But now I'm thinking that Vanilla buttercream, choc cake and white chocolate or banana creme pudding for filling would be too many mixed flavors. Ugh I wish people would just tell me the flavors they want - esp. since I don't even eat cake.
My vote is for the raspberry buttercream...yummy with chocolate!
What an honor to do a cake for your GF... Happy Birthday to him !
