Gelatin Fairy Wing Disaster

OK so I followed all the directions for gelatin sheets..they seem to be fine...I cut them ok...but when I held them up they were limp :{ I do not want limp wings....help... my fairy is really cute and dry now. So what can i do about the wings now? If i decide to go with gumpaste how do I now stick them on?

Unflavored gelatin.. and it popped off the plastic you used...?

Yes, I used unflavored gelatin. I poured it onto a silcon matt all that went fine but then when dry they are limp.

It sounds like you didn't put the gelatin on thick enough.

From what I remember reading from Bobwonderbuns and Loucinda on that fabulous gelatin thread... is that the consistency should be like thick nail polish once cooled and you should paint a thick coat or two down as it thins out while it dries. Try it again and Like Loucinda said make it thicker.
