I want to make polka dots and place them on a cake frosted with SMBC and want to know what's the best way to make them stick. Should I used fondant or fondant with tylose. Do I need a glue? The dots will be about the size of a quarter or half dollar. Thanks.

I do alot of cakes with polks dots on butter cream and I just use straight fondant and then dab the back with a very little bit of water on a paint brush. I've never had any problems doing it this way.
