Does anyone out there do organic products? I'm trying to find a good wholesale supplier for powdered sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chips, peanut butter, animal crackers, shortening and margarine. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what quantities you need, but I buy some of my organic ingredients through my local food co-op or whole foods. They have good buying power and usually their public prices are about the same as wholesale after you take into account that there is no shipping.

whole foods buys a lot of organic products for their bulk section. I get flour, chocolate, baking soda, spices, etc from them. Try talking to their bulk buyer.

For margarine you can use Earth Balance. If you go to their website they have information how you can buy 30 lb containers directly from them. They also sell shortening, but I have never tried theirs. I always use the spectrum brand organic shortening. (also trans fat free), maybe you could contact them directly?
