okay.. i had a trusted recipe for gingerbread cookies which of course i cannot find............. and of course, i don't remember it by heart...

in my search for "it" or a new one... i have become confused! some call for butter, some shortening, some water, some eggs, some without eggs... etc....................

anyone have any tips for me or could you share your fav. recipe?

i have to make 4 dozen misc shaped cookies for my daughters preschool class!
