I don't have a sprayer for cake food coloring but I read that someone used a plain spray bottle. Has anyone done it that way before? If so, do you add water to it or anthing else???

I use everclear& air brush color--it will spray out of a spray bottle but it will not do like an airbrush that has a more precise control on the amount of spray.

i was thinking the same thing yesterday except wanted to spray lustre dust mixed with vodka from a spray bottle to give a shine to a cake and wondered if that would work too
