How do you make a ruffled bedskirt?

Hi,
I am not sure of the design of your cake, but fondant could be used as a bedskirt. It can be manipulated to look like ruffles..

Or you can use a large rose tip. Your tip should be as large as the space you are going to cover unless you are doing two layers of ruffles. The open part of the tip goes up and the point goes down and ruffle away. Don't go up and down like in a U shape. Hold the tip up to where the bed skirt will go and zig zag back and forth in and away from the cake as you bring the tip along the cake's length towards you.

I use tip 040 or 060. to make buttercream ruffles. its so easy with that tip.

or fondant. GL
