I have to make a large batch of modeling chocolate for a project in two weeks. I usually use the Wilton brand melts, but I wasn't very happy with the last batch that I made. I used Colette Peter's recipe and my modeling chocolate was just too sticky.

Can you all tell me what brand of chocolate and best and most reasonably priced? I need to make about 7lbs.

Also, what recipe do you use for the best results?

TIA!

The one I use all the time and get great results is:
1 bag chocolate chips melted in the microwave
1/3 c light corn syrup miexed into the melted chips

stir together and after it comes together, place on waxed paper for 1 hour

store in ziplock bag
