Has anyone made chrysanthemums out of fondant? Can you share how you did it?
Thank You,
Bjoy
Maybe this will help, it's a tutorial for cold porcelain flower:

Ok, here it is... yes, I found it broken - also, perhaps the next time I make one of these I'll make the last layer of petals shorter or even facing upwards like all the others (besides in nature they come in all colours, shapes & sizes).

The bud or centre is made first & allowed to dry hard (makes it easier to attach the petals). Depending on what size flower you want will depend on which size cutter you use. I used the Orchard Daisy Cutters for the petals, 8 layers of petals, slowly increasing the size as the flower grows.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more detailed instruction
Maybe someone else has a different way?
Cheers,
Cindy
Thank both of you for your help. Candy, where did you get the Orchard
Daisy Cutter? I appreciate the information. I will give it a try.

Check the flower tutorial link on my signature.
Go to page 6 and you will find a tutorial
Rylan,
Thank you for sending the info on the tutorials. That is really a lot
of good information.

bjoy, the cutters are a standard Orchard product, I bought mine from my local cake decorator shop. I'm sure you can find them at almost any cake shop or you could try online?
Global Sugar Art have both the large and small daisy cutter sets http://www.globalsugarart.com/cat.php?cid=790&s=&name=ORCHARD%20PRODUCTS/Orchard%20Products%20Flower%20and%20Leaf%20Cutters. When I was on their site I also found the Orchard book 6 http://www.globalsugarart.com/product.php?id=18928&name=Book%206%20by%20Pat%20Ashby%20&%20Orchard%20Products
which apparently shows you how to use the daisy cutters - I don't have the book, I learnt through a workshop at one of my cake decorators association meetings.
Good luck, I hope this helps!
