Has anyone ever done the crisscross stitch on top of butter cream? I have looked and found nothing.

I have not but imagine if it is a crusting BC I would think it is possible. You can easily give it a test run to see if it works.

are you sure the blue is bc.man its so smooth it looks to be fondant

I do it all the time.. All you need to do is use crusting buttercream. Is actually easier to do in buttercream than fondant..lol

I agree with Edna 200%, a good crusting BC and it will work.

I do it on BC all the time, also. I use a skewer to make the indentation (I just eyeball the spacing), but I know there are impression mats that work on BC for this, too.

Yes Sharon said she used impression diamond mat.........and since I do not have one I guess Indy and the big sticks is who I need discuss further hehe.....I want to try it on my anniversary cake icon_smile.gif
