i got black wilton color mist spray, and i was wondering if it would work on fondant? will it like melt it or anything?

and i read somewhere that one can might only get me a grey color, so should i dye the fondant with regular dye (until it's grey) and then go back later and spray it to make it a little darker?

thanks for the help :}

I have used wilton color spray before to spray on fondant. I made some penguins and used the spray to spray them black. you can see the picture of them on my website http://customcakecreations.org it actually covered them really well and gave me a true black color. I loved it and use it all the time on things i need to be jet black. good luck! icon_smile.gif

ps. just dont spray too close and you shouldnt have any problems with it running.
