I want to make a 16" round cake, does anyone know how many cups of batter I would need? Thanks for your help.

Go to this website http://www.wilton.com/cakes/making-cakes/ (Wiltons) and click on baking time and batter amounts that should help with your question

It really depends on the recipe. I have recipes where it should be filled 3/4 of the way from the top of the pan and some are just less than 1/2.
