Customer wants black/white/silver/gold for the colors with stars incorporated into the theme. "Think Bacall/Bogart, vintage theme".

They want a timeline on the top of the cake with five laminated photos. Using BC base with fondant cutouts attached. This is a 4" tall 1/2 sheet (12x1icon_cool.gif.

Any design thoughts? Anything that a 1940's style cake shouldn't be without? Thinking of white base with black fondant timelines, gold stars, silver dots & dragees, and chunkier style fondant ribbon roses on the corers of the base. Including black fondant cutouts surrounding the photos on top (vintage scrapbook look). Any other ideas?

Thank you!

Think art deco. And make sure you post a pic when it's done. Art Deco is my favorite of all art forms.
