im making a pizza cake and need help on making fondant mushrooms look semi realistic. i have a mushroom cookie cutter. anyone have ideas?

use some maybe ivory color fondant , use the cookie cutter & do some black or dark shade under, you know the cap, I think it's called. HTH!

I think I'd make a tannish colored rope, wrapped a thin piece of darkish gray around that and another thin piece of tannish around that, put the "cap" on it like babydoll 1981 said, and then slice slowly throught like you would a mushroom. Should be very close. There I go trying to get too realistic again. I think I have OCD! LOL
