How many cupcakes fit on Wilton Tall Tier Stand?

I have a cupcake tower cake coming up and I'm trying to find the right stand. It'll be 175 cupcakes, plus the top cutting. I don't know if I want to buy that one (which I have been wanting for a while) or make my own square one.

I have this stand too and have read somewhere that it holds around 150 give or take.

BTW - I also read somewhere that the Wilton Tall Tier Stand is no longer in production so while you may be able to find it now, you may not be able to find replacement parts if you need them down the road. Not 100% sure on that, but I read it somewhere online.

Actually Wilton discontinued what was called the "Lady Windemere" stand. It is similiar to the Tall tier stand but the Tall Tier stand is a new version released this year. The plates are not scooped like the old model they are flat and there is slightly more room between the tiers than the old model.

Thanks Kiddie! Would you say it's a good buy or not? After the coupon it came to $52. Do you like the old or new one better? Thanks again!! icon_biggrin.gif

I prefer the new one, although I wish it were pure white. I use my Michaels' coupon as well and thought with the coupon it was definitley worth the money. icon_smile.gif

Good info...I saw the stand at Michaels and wondered how many cupcakes it would hold, and if it was worth the investment. Thanks for posting.
