Hello all CC friends! I would like to know what cake recipe do you use when carving a cake? Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

I don't really use a special recipe when carving a cake, but denser cakes tend to work better structurally in general. Pound Cake is very good for this.

I also freeze or seriously chill my cakes before I carve them.

I carve just about any cake, but refrigerate first.

Same here - chill well and you're good to go.

I use regular ole box mixes when I'm creating my 3D cakes. Freezing first is extremely helpful.
