Does anyone know if you can substitute a certain amount of butter in a recipe for almond paste? I love my from scratch cake recipe and would like to make an almond version, but almond extract isn't quite enough. I want to put almond paste in it but not sure how to do this without altering the structure of the cake. I've heard before of using almond paste along or in lieu of butter in the recipe. Anyone know how this is done?
