Are These Birds Made With Fondant Or With Gumpaste?

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find out how to make these birds. I think they are hand sculpted with fondant and then a veining tool is used to give them texture..but how are they painted? Thank you.

I think they might be made out of and painted with chocolate.

Hi,

Do you mean a chocolate 3 dimensional mold and then handpainted with a brush?

If they are chocolate I'd say they would be carved. It is really hard to have a definite answer on what they are made out of.

But the painting definately does look like chocolate.
