Gonna surprise my wife tomorrow and make her a pumpkin chocolate chip cake. And ideas on a good butter cream flavor to go with it?
I was thinking about doing a cream cheese like I do for my red velvet cakes. What do you think?
Cream cheese goes great with pumpkin - yummy! I've also had almond buttercream with a spice type cake, and that was fabulous too. I love cream cheese icing, but I find it get's so heavy, and it's hard to smooth, get the right consistency and work with. I obviously need to try another recipe, although I'm on about my fourth. Sorry - this wasn't about me, was it?
