I am just wondering, how far in advance can you decorate a cake before the required day?

Hi there, I bake my cakes two days ahead. And decorate the day before. If the cake is required for a saturday, I would bake and fill on thursday, then cover and decorate on friday. So the customer has whole day saturday to come and pick it up!!
