Tomorrow I'm decorating a cake for my nephew. It's R2D2 sinking into a swamp. Actually, it's just the top part of his dome, so it looks like he's almost under.

Any ideas on what to do for the swamp? R2D2 is the cake (1/2 soccer ball on top of a 9" round), and the bottom (swamp) is a 16" round dummy (1" thick - from Michael's).

All I can think of is ucky green/brown icing slopped on (not perfect and smooth). Anyone else?

TIA.

The movie had all that smoke rolling over the swamp....maybe you could do some cotton candy and spray it to a gray color?....or something with a 3D smoke-like texture?

you could make some sort of swamp grass. A few blades of thick/wide grass coming out of the swamp. Maybe cluster of a couple of blades together.

IDK just a suggestion. icon_smile.gif I don't really remember the movies. My husband loves them and I always leave the room when he watches icon_lol.gif
