I need to make brown fondant/gunpaste.

currently i have either been buying satin ice for blacks and reds - or making plain vanilla mmf and then coloring using my americolor gels.

Is the recomended way to have brown fondant to just color using gel or do i add coccoa powder or something to the mmf recipie to get the brown shade.

Thanks for advice

Brian

If I want chocolate MMF, I used Rhonda's Chocolate recipe. It reduces the amount of powdered sugar in order to use cocoa powder. So it turns a pretty shade of brown. Then if it's not dark enough, I add brown color to it while it's in the KA.
