Does anyone ever use 1/2 butter 1/2 sweetex with sugarshack's recipe? I would love to try it. I do like the flavor of butter in my frosting and I want to get my frosting as smooth as possible by using her tips.

Might work out just as well as hers, with a slightly lower melting point. Sounds like it would be very tasty.

I made it subbing in 2 cups of butter (I use regular shortening, not Sweetex), exclusively for about 6 months and it was delicious! When the weather got warmer and more humid, I had a couple of icing slides so I have cut back to 1 cup of butter for the summer. Don't know if that was my issue, but I haven't had another slide since, so I don't want to risk it...

I've used the recipe with just butter, taste great, reduce amount of liquid slightly there's more moisture in butter also have liquid at room temp.

I recently made her icing with 2 cups of butter and 3 cups of Sweetex and it tasted and performed great.
