Subject is the question............. I am trying the Magnolia's vanilla cupcake recipe and it calls for 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter. In Oz 1 stick fills a cup and is 250gms.

TIA

A stick of butter is four ounces. If one ounce weighs 28.349 grams, then four ounces would weigh 113.398 grams.

According to my box, there are 14 grams to a table spoon. If you do the math 14 x 8 = 112.

Thanks ladies! I have been using twice the amount of butter with all the recipes I've been testing that called for a "stick"! Which probably explains why I couldn't get my buttercream to crust and it was so filled with holes in my last batch! Tasted good though. lol icon_redface.gif
