Hello all:

I'm doing an engament cake in a couple of months and the client asked for ideas on the theme, I'm completly clueless, for some reason I'm creatively bloked...nothing comes to mind.

Can you please help me with ideas on the design?

Thanks.

I thought the "Perfect Pair" theme was always a "play-on-words" done with pears?

Thank you Antonia! yes, it's a play-on-words with pears.

Gleason & Carney (in Honeymooner's roles)
Gleason & Audrey Meadows (as Ralph and Alice in Honeymooners)
Burns & Allen
Hope & Crosby
Laurel & Hardy
Astair & Rogers

Chocolate & (most anything! -- strawberries first thought)

I did an engagement party...they wanted a half of sheet cake...found a lovely picture online of two pears and had an image made of that for the top of cake....bought pear shaped cookie jars at dollar store and mother-in-law filled with pears and fruit slices.....I bought pear chocolate molds and those were the favors...wrapped in fall foil colors (rust/gold/green) and tied with a tag I had made that said the engaged couples name, as the perfect pair....it was lovely....

My husband and I had a screen print done on a t-shirt that was face cards (our pictures was on the card) with the phrase "A Perfect Pair" (i.e., Aces). It was too cute. You might try that.
