Just wondering what color paste to use to color butter cream to imitate sand as I am making a birthday beach scene cake. I will be spreading gold colored sugar on the top but cannot find the right color for the butter cream undercoat.

I've used Americolor ivory.

I used Wilton brown with a touch of yellow.

lol brown and yellow = ivory. Or just buy ivory dye. I like the ivory dye and just make ir darker. What about using crushed nilla wafers, gram crackers, or cinnamon sugar for sand? icon_smile.gif You can sprinkle all that stuff on as well. I used gram cracker crumbs on one of the last cakes I made. icon_smile.gif
