What do I use in my airbrush to get a glittery/sparkley effect?
Hmmm..nothing I have seen out yet will do that. The only thing is the new shimmer colors like pearl but that is not glittery.I think there might be an issue with clogging the nozzle with small glitter particles.
I have the pearl spray.Sometimes I have trouble with it clogging my spray gun, any suggestions?
Yeah..mine does that sometimes and sputters..I just turn the PSI up and try and blow it out...not on the cake mind you!!!
On a cake I did recently I used twinkle dust (hologram silver) on my bow and lettering. It looked just like glitter. I don't think it would work in a airbrush because of the large grain. I just brushed it on. Here is the pic although it didn't photograph well
PennieK where can I get the twinkle dust?
I bought mine from Global sugar art
what did you use to make it adhere when you brushed it on?
I have been looking for something for this very effect Thanks for the help PennieK!!!
After several attempts the method that worked best was to brush on luster dust mixed with alcohol then immediatly use a dry brush to apply the twinkle dust.
Lucks have shimmer airbrush colors. It glitters well.
