I am attaching a picture of a butterfly and my question is how do you make this butterfly? I thought it was made of fondant but I recently have been told differently so all suggestions are welcome
thank you all icon_smile.gif

It looks like it is made from a mold. If it is, then you can use any medium - fondant, gumpaste, chocolate, etc.

is that from a cc cake? looks familiar is all! if so, you could pm the creator, they might help you out.
looks like it has been airbrushed, which makes it a bit trickier telling what its made from, but you can do them out of anything. it does look like they used a mold, but you could make that pattern with the right tools too.

I think it is either fondant, gum paste or chocolate that has been brushed with pearl dust.
