I am making a cake for a girl's 10th birthday party that is a pink and brown theme. It is three tiers, and as the border I am going to be using fondant roses. The top layer will be iced brown, and the middle layer iced pink. I want to have the roses match the pink and brown of the icing. Any thought on how to do this?

Thanks for your help.

Put a little yellow food color in your fondant to make it match a butter based icing. I mean if you are using a shortening based icing it should match anyway by just using the same food colorings.

It doesn't have to be an exact match either. Because the roses will have a completely different look than the iced cake. It could match within a nano-bite of pure perfection and it will still look a little different.
