I know this will seem dumb to those who already use it but I just can't visualize what I need for sure lol. icon_redface.gif I have only done cakes with dowel rods before. I am doing a two tier cake. Bottom round two layer 8 inch, top tier round two layer 6 inch. SO obviously I know I need the 6 inch plate. What about the pillar things. What do I need for just this little cake?? TIA!!

You just need to buy four - 4" legs and the 6" plate. And that's it!

You'll need 4 pillars....it doesn't matter what size plate. Each plate takes 4 pillars. icon_smile.gif

You need the 6" plate, as you correctly stated, and four legs/pillars. Make sure your 8" cake is on something sturdy enough (masonite board, cake circles--at least two, etc.) to fully support the weight of the cake.
