How do I get the fondant balls to stay put on the wire. And, what size/type of wire should I use? Should I add some gumpaste to the balls to make them more sturdy?

I just used wire from the hardware department. I heated the wire then stick the ball on and it immediately stuck in place. You can also jsut just a small bend directly below where the ball will be and it will keep it from sliding down the wire.
