I hope someone out there can help. I am making an 11 x 13 cake to be decorated as a swimming pool with a bath house, snack bar and chain link fence around it.
I have everything figured out but the fence. Anybody got any ideas?

Royal icing? Like pipe 4 rectangles with the diamond shaped links, let it dry, then stand them up and glue them together with more royal? I don't know if that would work, but it's my best idea.
