I'd like to know what CC'ers prefer and if you prefer brand names over store brands. Personally I pretty much use anything, no preferences and can't tell the difference in the overall outcome of my baking.
All purpose flour?
Sugar - whatever brand is at Sam's. Normally Domino's.
Shortening - Crisco (maybe one day I'll switch to hi-ratio)
Powdered Sugar - whatever is at Sam's. It's called baker's sugar or something.
Butter - Walmart brand for unsalted, Sam's brand for salted. (Sam's quarters their salted but doesn't quarter their unsalted and I like my butter quartered).
Cake Flour - absolutely hate the stuff and don't ever use it
All purpose flour - Sam's brand.
