Another funny story thanks to my DD.
I made a cake this week for my best friend a white chocolate (uh oh) ganache cake with a key lime filling. This cake always gives me a challenge I never know what the ganache is going to do, it was humid here yesterday and so of course the ganache didnt set up as firm as I would have liked . I was complaining as we left yesterday morning because it wasnt perfectly smooth .... My DD who says I am to critical of my work laughed and said...." you complain that your friends never want to cut the cake because it is too pretty so today tell them to just cut the ugly thing! " After the laughter subsided and I regained my composure I thanked her for this great bit of advice and she was right everybody gushed over the cake even the servers at the resturant we ate at love it and thought it was great . She is too smart for her own good and mine sometimes .
