Hi guys! Very new to the cake decorating thing! I make my icing with the crisco and powdered sugar and add a little almond flavoring. Problem is, I think it is entirely too sweet. Can anyone give me a buttercream recipe that is still easily smoothed and not as sweet? Thanks so much! thumbs_up.gif

Try SMBC, this is what I use exclusively. Here is the recipe I use. No shortening, no powdered sugar, no grit, and no racing heart from sugar overload. icon_smile.gif

Hey Tammy! Try buttercream dream - it's the only one I use, and it's been wonderful!
