I wanted to reproduce a tile raised relief mural that I saw a picture of in a mag. I have a pannel above my kitchen cabinets that hides the air duct to try it on. I have not painted the raised relief designs yet, but was very excited about how it turned out! Used a frosting bag with tinted flexable wall joint compond and a cheap plastic tip to throw away when I'm done. Will add color to the grapes and leaves when completely dry. Harder to do than cake because of the verticle surface that does not "grip" like fondant or buttercream. I had to drag the tip on the wall rather thanpull a string and let it drop, to get it to stick. The entire mural will get a coat of clear satin coat to give the "tile " shine. Thought I'd share another use for piping skills!

that's funny...I've heard of using your knowledge of art and apply it to cakes, but never vice-versa!

very cool!
