I have been watching this new show "Cake Boss" and it seems he loves to steam all his fondant cakes when he is done.
Can anyone confirm if they have even tried this...and if it does leave a shine to your fondant?

I haven't done it, but I watched him do it on a challenge right in front of the camera - it worked - I'd like to try it myself!
Yep! He steams his fondant when he wants the "shiny patent leather" look.
