Thanks for responding. I'm looking for something like Merckens or Wilton (non tempering chocolate) that is dairy free.
It's costly but they might be willing to sell by the pound.

I order chocolates from them once in a while and they are creamy and wonderful.
You could look at a healthfood store near you. They will often have vegan chips.
Or you could try Sweet Williams chocolate buttons. http://www.allergyblock.com.au/comersus/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2061
Shipping in the summer isn't great for this stuff.

Ghirardelli Semi Sweet Chocolate chips on the baking isle do not have milk on the ingredient list but say in a dscliamer that is manufatcured on the same equipment, may contian trace amount blah blah blah.
I have a real senitiviy/allergy to milk. I tried these and the inside my throat broke out just like when I accidentally eat something with dairy. They were good but so not worth the itchy painfull break out!
Your best bet is to go with something Vegan if there is an allergy. Those trace amounts kill me every stinking time!
sadsmile, thank you so very much for these links. I'm going to check them out right now. I really appreciate it!!
And you're right. Nothing is worth having to go through that pain.
Thanks again.
