How do you get a good dark choc frosting???? My butter cream is very light with powder coco or melted choc, the flavor is fine its just not very pretty.

Use more cocoa powder...just decrease the powdered sugar a bit or increase the liquids a bit to compensate for the extra powder.

Also, not all cocoa powders are the same...I've noticed that Hershey's Special Dark will make frosting that's almost black, and Guittard Cocoa Rouge makes tootsie-roll colored frosting.

You can add some brown color to your frosting to get the shade that you want, if you're already happy with the flavor and don't want to add more chocolate.
